  Disney World
We were greedy and decided to do the park hopper option, which meant that we missed many attractions in each of the parks. The original plan was to do 3 out of the 4 main parks but we only managed to cover The Magic Kingdom and Epcot. I was disappointed with Magic Kingdom and its Space Mountain (might have impressed me in the 60s). After a surprising lack of characters around the park and the 90-min queue at Splash Mountain, I was ready to write Disney off as a failure. But Epcot salvaged the day with several good rides – especially the new Soaring virtual flight around California – the appearance of Mickey and Goofy (even if they were in space suits) and the evening fireworks display.
