Romantic dinners

Last Thursday, 8th of March, was
International Women's Day. It's the Valentines Day-equivalent in Russia when the men in the house would take care of the women - gifts, flowers, doing all the housework, etc. I spent the whole day working from home because I was feeling quite ill (unfortunately it was a really busy day and I spent it glued to the PC and the phone). Pavel, being the perfect boyfriend that he is, made it all better, bringing home a bunch of long-stemmed roses and taking me out for dinner at a local restaurant that we had been thinking of going to for quite a while. He booked over 3 weeks in advance because we always went impromptu only to find them closed or full.
The restaurant, Oslo Court is in a very funny location - being under a block of flats - but it had such rave reviews in Zagat and so many other sites that we wanted to give it a go. The decor reminded both of us of soviet-era hotels but it added to the charm and we really enjoyed the food and the overall experience.

Speaking of flowery decor and Valentines Day, on Feb 14th Pavel booked us a table at
the Ritz. We were by far one of the youngest couples there! It was lovely in a very quaint way and we entertained ourselves thoroughly dancing amongst the silver-haired.
