New Year Eve in NYC

We arrived in the US on Christmas Day and decided to welcome 2006 in New York City. Didn't plan for too much of an extravaganza - just hanging out with friends and having a nice time. My mum and stepdad had big plans of braving Times Square but ended up taking shelter in a nearby pub and just coming back out to the Square after the ball dropped. Too cold, too many people, as to be expected.  ¶ 4:34 AM
